Peace Garden The Peace Garden at Camp Kaufmann was made possible through the generosity of the God Bless America Fund. It was dedicated on Sunday morning, September 22, 2002. As the sunlight shone down on the beautiful waterfall at the center of the garden, Girl Scouts from all five boroughs of New York City gathered around to learn about how and why the garden was created, and to see the official ribbon cutting - opening the garden for future campers to visit and enjoy. Be sure to stop by and visit on your next trip to camp! It's a nice place to visit and is an experience you and your girls will enjoy and not soon forget. |

The Peace Garden's memorial plaque reads: "In recognition of those whose lives were forever changed as a result of September 11, 2001, may we understand our differences and co-exist in peace". |
